Speaker Backgrounds

Sarah Whitt, Director of Security, The Detroit Zoo, has 7 years of experience in security leadership specializing in risk identification, emergency planning, and team development. As the Director of Security at the Detroit Zoological Society, she oversees security operations, emergency response, and contracted services while ensuring the safety of staff, visitors, and wildlife.\

Jessica Anderson has over 15 years in the security industry, she has experience in Corrections and corporate security, where she developed enterprise-wide employee safety and security awareness training. Jessica holds a degree in criminal justice from Bethune-Cookman University, where she was recognized with the 2016 40 Under 40 Award. She is a two-time SIA Women in Security Forum Power 100 honoree and was featured in the March 2025 edition of Security Journal Americas. Jessica resides in Michigan with her husband and two children.
